With the continuous development of communication technology,the fifth generation of mobile communication technology is gradually moving towards commercial use.The 5G era is officially approaching.Intelligent technologies such as AI and the Internet of Things will usher in great development.Cloud computing as the underlying supporting technology is undergoing changes.The cloud computing model cannot meet the growing network edge demand in the telecommunications environment.The open source software stack StarlingX combines edge computing technology,OpenStack technology and high availability technology,and implements many unique high availability components.This paper proposes a solution for applying the open source software stack StarlingX to the telecommunications cloud environment,and studies telecommunications in edge scenarios High availability of cloud systems.The main work of the thesis is as follows:(1)The development process of cloud computing is briefly described,and 5G edge computing is analyzed for high availability.(2)The edge computing,the main component structure of OpenStack and highavailability technology are introduced,and the components of the open source software stack StarlingX are briefly analyzed.(3)Research on SM(Service Manage),a highly available component of StarlingX OpenStack cluster.The SM component heartbeat strategy,resource management,and high availability of node key processes are studied,and on this basis,the heartbeat between the cluster control node key process and the SM component is designed to improve the SM component's ability to monitor and manage key processes,so that Of high availability.(4)Deploy the StarlingX Telecom cloud edge environment on the physical host,encode and implement use case service scripts and use case service programs,and perform functional tests and high availability tests on the use case services.The results show that the SM component can quickly recover the abnormally dead services under its management,and at the same time,the services that detect the heartbeat of the lost service will also be highly available,ensuring the system's ability to heal and resist risks in harsh edge scenarios to a certain degree.
