The Dunhuang Tibetan manuscript P.T.2 is a religious mansucript with a total of 120 lines on recto of the scroll. The writing is clear and the surface is not damaged. It was written in Dunhuang under Tubo rule(786-848).The content of the manuscript can be divided into four parts. The first part is the text of an invitation to the Buddha, including a paragraph of the invitation to pray; The second part is the Lantern Wish;the third part is rgyud gsum;the last line is a new paragraph, but the writing is incomplete and the content is unknown. There are two lines of spells on the back of the manuscript, which may be the Wrath King,Jaegeroni. The Buddha,Dharma, and Sangha were respectively invited in the invitation to the Buddha. The Buddha mainly invited the Five-Party Buddha, the Third-Party and Ten-Party Buddha,as well as Brahma,Emperor Shitian, and the Four Heavenly Kings.Among them, the Five-Party Buddha may be the unique name of the Buddha in the Tibetan inquiries, and it does not appear in other Chinese inquiries. The Lantern Written Manuscript mainly includes six parts: title, salute, offering, prayer, return, and concluding remarks. The content and form are different from the Chinese Lantern Written of the same period.Rgyud gusm is a different kind of invitation to invite the Buddha's wishes. It invites the gods such as Buddha,Bodhisattva, the heavenly kings,Yasha,Lishi and etc.It shows the esoteric god system more completely. It also lists a lot of uncommon and even unknown ghosts and gods.Although the content is incomplete,it is still very useful for studying the system of esoteric gods.
