The national library and public libraries in providing information resources for the society plays an important role,while seeking innovation to build a good resources and services,learning platform,etc.,but still didn't get the full use of the social public,the library still faces the risk of losing customers,although many libraries also carried out different kinds of go out in the form of activities,and obtained a certain effect,but did not go far enough.The introduction of the marketing concept into the daily work of the library can better solve this problem.Through the literature survey,it is found that the research on the marketing of national library and public library in China has been increasingly mature,but the research on the marketing strategy of library in foreign countries,especially in a certain foreign country,is still lacking.Britain,as the first country to establish public libraries,has also achieved great success in its marketing.Therefore,this paper selects the United Kingdom as the research object,and makes an inductive analysis of its marketing strategy,so as to provide new thinking and Suggestions for China's marketing work.This paper investigates and studies the marketing activities carried out by the British national library and public library by means of literature survey,network survey and other methods combined with marketing theories.Firstly,relevant concepts and theoretical basis are expounded by means of literature survey.Secondly,through the network of the national library and public library's website to carry out the activities and project services such as research and analysis,and combined with marketing theory summarizes marketing strategy,finally from the user segment,mining resources,to carry out the service marketing,strengthen international cooperation,the development of cultural creative products make Suggestions for public library to carry out marketing activities in China.The research and practice of library marketing work has broad prospects,has great practical significance for the development of public libraries in China,and is an importantway for libraries to improve their social status and realize their own value.
