With the development of data acquisition and recognition technology for low-cost and high-precision,biometric based identity recognition technology is rapidly popularized in our daily life,and widely used in access control,rights management and other fields.But in recent years,many research results shows that the biometrics system also has some defects,such as being attacked by violence and social engineering,and the security and effectiveness of recognition still need to be improved.The biometric data is unique,different from password,token and other identification information,and it will cause great harm to the user's privacy when leaked.In order to solve the above problem,some researchers proposed the biometric template protection technology,that is,by using some encryption or transformation algorithm to generate biometric template,and replace the original biometric template.This technology can effectively protect the original biometric information on the premise of ensuring the accuracy of recognition.Based on the analysis of the existing fingerprint template protection algorithms,this paper proposes a fingerprint template protection algorithm based on bit string XOR and scrambling transformation and a fingerprint template protection algorithm based on adaptive projection.The specific works are as follows:1.In order to reduce the influence of the numerical distribution of biometric bit strings on the accuracy of fingerprint recognition system,a fingerprint template protection algorithm based on XOR and scrambling transformation of bit strings is proposed.Under the premise of ensuring the accuracy,the algorithm uses XOR operation and random index scrambling to the bit string after two-dimensional grid quantization,the combination of linear and nonlinear transformation extends the key space and enhances the security of fingerprint template.The simulation results show that the recognition performance of the algorithm is ideal,especially for the scenario of key leakage,which has better accuracy and security.2.Aiming at the problems of low accuracy and poor security of traditional line projection algorithm,an adaptive projection fingerprint template protection algorithm is proposed.The algorithm does not need to locate the fingerprint center point accurately.Through geometric transformation,the distance between the effective minutiae points is projected vertically onto the adaptive circle,and the vector after projection is quantized to get the bit string.In addition,in order to enhance the security and privacy of the data,the XOR operation and random index scrambling transform are used to process the contrast strings,and the fingerprint template is generated finally.Theoretical analysis and simulation results show that this algorithm has higher accuracy and security than that of the traditional projection algorithm.
