With the implementation of the "Going Global" strategy of China Publishing,more and more works of outstanding Chinese writers have been translated and published in countries around the world,and Mo Yan's works are representative of them.In 1988,The Dry River was published in Japan,which started the overseas publishing of Mo Yan's works.As of October 2019,there are 388 kinds of Mo Yan's works published in 41 countries and Mo Yan has become a representative of contemporary Chinese writers to the world.A comprehensive study of the development history,geographical and language distribution,composition of translators,and audience acceptance of Mo Yan 's works overseas is an important topic that can summarize some of the laws of Chinese works published overseas,from which to gain Chinese culture to the world Some revelations.This article collects relevant literature on the overseas publication of Mo Yan's works,and searches China's HowNet,Pro Quest,the online bibliographic database Worldcat,Amazon,Avito and other major global shopping sites to widely obtain relevant information on Mo Yan's works published overseas.A summary table of the overseas publications of Mo Yan's works by country,statistical tables of Mo Yan's works translators,and sales data of Mo Yan's works on the Amazon platform are compiled.On the basis of the above initial research,this thesis adopts the literature research method,data analysis method and case analysis method to study the overseas publication of Mo Yan's works from four aspects.On the basis of the above initial research,this thesis adopts the literature research method,data analysis method and case analysis method to study the overseas publication of Mo Yan's works from four aspects.From the perspective of development process,the history of Mo Yan's works published overseas is divided into four stages: "initialization","development","climax" and "sustainability".In terms of languages,the overseas publication of Mo Yan 's works covers Asia,Europe and the Americas,and includes 41 countries and regions in the world 's six universal languages.Looking at the structure,according to the available information,there are 104 translators in more than 30 countries on six continents.The majority of well-known sinologists and full-time translators are the most.From the perspective of audience acceptance,Mo Yan's works are generally sold on overseas platforms,with a large number of collections,and various parties have different opinions.The overall acceptance of Mo Yan's works is relatively high overseas.The significance of Mo Yan's works published overseas is reflected in three aspects: showing the achievements of contemporary Chinese literature,promoting the spread of Chinese culture to the outside world,and setting a model for Sino-foreign cultural exchanges.The overseas publication of Mo Yan's works has inspired us: good translation is the key to the successful overseas works of Chinese works.The overseas publication of Chinese works must be implemented with "localization".The guidance of national policies is the driving force for Chinese works to go overseas.
