The magnetron occupies a prominent position in the field of high-efficiency and compact microwave sources as a microwave power source.Compared with other microwave power sources,its main features are high power,high efficiency,and low operating voltage.In addition,it has some advantages such as simple structure,high working stability,and low mass production cost.Due to the dimensional errors caused by some processes,the frequency of the produced magnetron will be shifted,and the phase will be unstable,resulting in the output of multiple magnetrons of the same model cannot be combined for power directly.So the phase-locking technique is a hot spot in the field of magnetron research,and it has broad application prospects in many fields such as radar,communications,and microwave energy applications.In this paper,an impedance transformation technique is used to design an energy coupling structure of a magnetron.The coupling port of this structure couples a small amount of energy to interlock with another same magnetron.The frequency of the two magnetrons is the same,and the phase-difference is constant.This paper studies the Ka-band rising-sun magnetron and its energy coupling structure,especially the theoretical and simulation analysis of frequency-locking and phase-locking based on the energy coupling structure.The main contents include:1.A resonance system of the 22-vane Ka-band rising-sun magnetron was designed.The resonance system was modeled and simulated in cold test by using the 3D electromagnetic simulation software CST.The frequency of the ? mode is 36.201 GHz.2.A magnetron energy output device was designed and simulated in cold test,and the effect of its size change on the output performance of the energy was analyzed.The energy output device was optimized and worked as the output port of the magnetron.By modeling and particle simulation,the frequency of the magnetron is 37.083 GHz,and the output power is 13.78 kW,and the efficiency is 15.73%.3.The working principle of the frequency-locking and phase-locking technology based on the energy coupling structure was analyzed.The energy coupling structure applied to the Ka-band magnetron was designed,and performed in cold test simulation.An excitation signal was added to the coupling port,and particle simulation on the magnetron using the energy coupling structure was performed,to verify that it can lockthe frequency and phase of the two magnetrons.The output power is about 12.01 kW and the efficiency is 13.21%.
