With the rapid development of TFT-LCD technology,consumers have higher and higher requirements on panel specifications,which means that the panel manufacturers should constantly update production processes,improve processes and reduce the potential defects of products.As a key material of LCD,the attachment of polarizer is an important manufacturing process.On the higher generation line,the bubbles caused by the attachment of polarizer are more likely to be generated.For high quality attachment of polarizer,it is necessary to deeply analyze polarizer attachment process and polarizer bubble formation mechanism,optimize the existing process,to reduce the cost of materials waste and improve the success rate of polarizer attaching.This paper briefly introduces the process flow and the principle of polarizer film.The formation mechanism of the polarizer attachment bubbles and the influence factors of attachment process of polarizer film were analyzed emphatically,which can provide reference for the improvement research in the future.In this paper,combined with our company's practical production experience that caused bubbles in polarizer attachment before.This paper analyzes the key mechanism and action principle of the attaching machine,attaching parameters,material control of the polarizer film,collocation design of the polarizing plate and glass substrate,and other multi-dimensional factors related to the attaching process.Meanwhile,this paper designed related experiments to verify and sum up the best polarizer attachment parameters,make the optimization and control scheme of important influence factors to keep the variation within the control range and avoid the generation of bubbles in mass production.Furthermore,the research of existing equipment and bubble defects can be used to evaluate the process risk of the great size polarizer attachment in advance.The design of attachment roller,polarizer undertaking platform and suction nozzle can be optimized,which can be used as a reference for the design of attaching equipment and process improvement of large-sized LCD attaching process and the construction of high generation line.After the improvement and optimization,polarizer attachment bubbles have been effectively improved,and the defective ratio has been reduced from 0.8% to 0.01%.The research of the polarizer attachment bubble can not only reduce the cost of original materials,but also provide constructive guidance for the large-size off-sticking process equipment of the higher generation line in TFT-LCD factory.
