The Embodiment Communication Of Virtual Body And The Study Of Post-human Body Subjectivity

With the development of artificial intelligence technology,post-humanism is not just a trend of academic thoughts,but a practical activity which reflects the reality of human social evolution.Post-humanism is not only a discussion of the dimension where future human resides,but a critical reflection on the humanism originating from Enlightenment.From the very beginning,post-humanism has been contemplating on the relationship between technology and human body and the impact of technology on human society.Therefore,this thesis will revolve round contemporary media technology,and exploit technological phenomenology to analyze the existential dimension of technology and human body as well as the possibility of human subjectivity.This thesis follows theories of artificial intelligence and post-humanism and discusses the possibility of the virtual existence of human body.By analyzing physical body,virtual body and the virtual world of existence,the thesis points out that rhizome,symbolizing the decentralization and augmentation of the existential dimension of human body,realizes the transition of human form from physicality to virtuality;rhizome,created by the nomads of virtual body,is virtual smooth space.The extreme of desire production is the projection of human's strong desire,which means the formation of post-humans' virtual body without organs.After explaining the concepts of physical body and virtual body,thesis focuses on discussing the relationship between technology and body.As well,from the perspective of technological phenomenology,the author studies the role of technology during the phase in which the body forms linkage with the world and demonstrates that technology enjoys a coexistential and mutually constructing relationship by introducing the concepts of Marcel Mauss' and Don Idhe's body technology.By combining Merleau-Ponty's and McLuhan's academic thoughts,the author discusses the possiblediscussion and communication of body the technology from the perspective of ontology.The rationale of body embodiment is “ body is medium”,which is,the body and media technology are both subject and object to each other.This is the core meaning of Merleau-Ponty's physical body concept,which also means that the culmination of the coexistence of body and technology will result in the virtualization of physical body.Based on the symbiotic relationship between technology and body,from the view of transhumanism,the thesis points out that the aspiration of human for technological innovation show the evolutionary tendency from transhuman to post-human,elaborating itself on the transhumanistic projection of desire of human's pursuit for perfect body.Based on the uploading technology proclaimed by transhumanists,bilateral digital eternality will lead to human's final form of post-human.Two types of intelligent life subject will dwell in the post-human society.One is the virtual home sapiens evolved from human,the other is the virtual humans,which is the intelligent silicon-based life forms created by technology.Intelligent subject is the transcendence of mind subjects,and there is the probability of coexistence or extinction.the finale of this article discusses the changes of human subjectivity,the possibility of artificial intelligence becoming the subject,and the relationship between strong artificial intelligence and human subjectivity.By tracing back to the theoretical development of subjectivity,this paper re-examines the changes in the connotation of subjectivity,and discusses the phenomenological physical subjectivity,the virtual subjectivity of cyberspace,and the cyber-subjectivity of the symbiosis of human and technology.At the same time,the relationship between strong and weak artificial intelligence and human subjectivity is discussed respectively.As an intermediary or object,weak artificial intelligence subjectivity is represented as the enslaved "other" and is essentially a "slave" attached to human consciousness.In the era of strong artificial intelligence,strong artificial intelligence with independent consciousness has the possibility of dominant position,and human beings and strong artificial intelligence will move towards super-subjectivity coexisting in the world in the relationship mode of "subject-subject".Virtual human and virtual homo sapiens,which evolved from strong artificial intelligence and post-human,are characterized by presence communication,virtual-real space extension and symbiotic relationship.
