With the commercialization of the fifth generation communication technology,the research of5 G communication antenna technology has entered the development stage of high-speed iteration.Due to people's demand for higher communication rate than 4G standard and the development trend of ultra-high screen ratio and ultra-thin of modern mobile terminal equipment,the antenna in 5G mobile terminal equipment should meet the characteristics of multi-band,miniaturization,broadband and high channel capacity.The electromagnetic spectrum resources are very limited.The MIMO technology can make more reasonable use of the frequency band resources,and increase the channel capacity several times when the frequency band width is certain.In view of this,this paper studies and designs four multi-band MIMO antennas suitable for 5G mobile terminals.Firstly,the design principle and performance index of MIMO antenna are analyzed.In addition,the common methods to improve the isolation degree of MIMO antenna are discussed.The miniaturization,multi-frequency and broadband of mobile terminal MIMO antenna units as well as mutual coupling and decoupling in MIMO are emphatically analyzed.Then,two 5G multi-band MIMO antennas based on the design of monopole antenna structure were proposed,respectively designed planar unit antenna unit and stereo structure antenna unit.Compared with the simulation results and the measured results of the two antennas,the radiation efficiency of 3D-Monopole antenna is significantly higher,and the measured efficiency of 5G low-band antenna is even as high as 80%.The 3D-Monopole antenna unit is very small in size,only8mm×8mm×5mm,the metal back plate slot is small,which is more practical.Another planar design antenna makes good use of its high-order resonance and coupling characteristics,and has better radiation performance.In the end,a 5G multi-band MIMO antenna based on PIFA structure design and its improvement were proposed.Based on comparative analysis tests and simulation results,it shows that the antenna meets the standard requirements of mobile communication technology and mobile terminal equipment.The technique of adding an additional dielectric substrate and slotting the radiating element has been used to achieve multi-frequency and wideband antennas.Based on this design,an additional 8 unit MIMO antenna is proposed,by adding two additional antenna elements and re-arranging each antenna.
