In various radars,electronic equipment and other occasions,unilateral radiating antennas have a wide range of applications in the microwave and optical fields due to their high gain and good electromagnetic compatibility.For a long time,the realization of unilateral radiation relies on the reflection of the metal backplane,which is not conducive to substrate integration.Although the microstrip antenna has better unilateral radiation characteristics,its backplane has full-band reflection characteristics,resulting in a substrate.Space multiplexing is not possible.In this paper,we focus on a single-sided radiating antenna based on the principle of Metamaterials(MMs),which is characterized in that it can achieve unilateral radiation in the band and is compatible with non-operating frequency bands.Therefore,it is advantageous for both substrate integration and three-dimensional spatial multiplexing of unilateral radiation.It is an anisotropic material,which is also called Metamaterials in China.In this paper,we implement asymmetrical magnetoelectrically coupled Metamaterials through open resonant rings(SRRs)and design unilateral dual polarization and based on the effect of this metamaterial on the non-directionality of radiation.Bilateral single-polarized unilateral radiating antenna.The main contents of this paper are as follows:1.The research background and research status of metamaterials and antennas,the basis of metamaterial structure design,and some resonance mechanisms and double anisotropy characteristics based on electromagnetic metamaterials,and described for the first time by Pendry The two methods proposed by the professor to achieve equivalent negative magnetic permeability and equivalent negative dielectric constant are the basis of other metamaterials.2.The metamaterial tells the asymmetry of the double anisotropic MMs structure through theoretical formula,and calculates its effective electromagnetic parameters through parameter inversion.3.Structural asymmetry and forbidden band characteristics of double anisotropic MMs,and how to realize unilateral radiating antenna by using asymmetric reflection characteristics.4.Design,simlation and experimental verification of the dual-polarized unilateral radiating antenna.Two metamaterial antennas with single-sided dual-polarization and one bilateral single-polarized 5Gmillimeter wave band were simulated.Two simulations were made and produced.Single-sided dual-polarization and a double-sided,single-polarized X-band medtamaterial antenna.
