On The Practice Of TV Media Convergence At The Local Level

With the concept of media convergence rising to the national strategic status,the transformation practice of traditional mainstream media has developed at an increasingly rapid pace.Under this background,traditional television media is facing new opportunities as well as challenges.On the one hand,with the entry of technology,capital and other forces,the ecological environment of media has changed greatly,and the information monopoly pattern has never remained as the channel resources and content advantages of traditional television media have constantly been challenged.On the other hand,the authority has become a solid foundation of traditional television media and provided it with preferential policies and resources in the need of maintaining the mainstream public opinion positions and raising the level of modernization of social governance.How to reconstruct the right of speech of traditional TV media under the background of media convergence and how to redefine the connotation and extension of the 5G era have become the common focus in academic circles.As an important part in the process of media integration in China,the prefectural and municipal TV media has the function of connecting both the county and provincial level media.However,with the county-level media centers,the grass-roots communication organizations booming all over the country,the prefectural and municipal TV media has faced a double pressure from both,in which case the prefectural and municipal TV media have to fight an uphill battle so as to seek a breakthrough in the transformation process.In recent years,Suzhou Broadcasting System(SB S)has early begun the practice of media integration and achieved excellent results in all kinds of reviews with its resource advantages and long-term planning,and gradually taken the leading position among the city-level media platforms,which has a significant research value and can be used for benchmarking reference.This paper takes the media convergence strategy of our country as the research background,specifically with the transformation practice of SBS as the research object.From the two dimensions in terms of local media and government as well as local media and target audience,this paper has deeply combed through the common problems existing in the transformation of city-level TV station and the achievements and dilemmas the SBS has during the media convergence practice,focused on the ways how to get around the bottleneck encountered in the process of integration transformation for the prefectural and municipal television media,summarized the means of breaking through such as mechanism innovation,technical support,diversified operation and accurate positioning,aimed to provide a reference for the local and municipal TV media integration and innovation.Based on the above,the author tries to put forward some suggestions on content production,technology construction,talent training,industry management and so on,hoping to be of help to the further exploration of city-level media integration.
