A nonlinear insulating medium is an insulating medium whose conductivity and/or dielectric constant vary with the electric field.Nonlinear insulation materials have the function of simplifying the design of insulation structure,reducing the thickness of insulation.They have a wide application prospect in the field of high voltage complex insulation structure design and manufacture,and have potential applications in HVDC cable main insulation and accessory insulation structure as well as high voltage composite insulators.Therefore,the related research of nonlinear insulating medium is highly valued at home and abroad.However,due to the limitation of the development of nonlinear insulation testing technology,it is difficult to study the correlation of nonlinear insulation media.For the test of transient dielectric characteristics of nonlinear insulating dielectric,it needs long time,non-periodic,many kinds of complex high voltage excitation voltage signals,and the market arbitrary signal generator can not meet its needs,so it is of great significance to design a long time series signal generator to meet the requirements of transient dielectric characteristics test of nonlinear insulating dielectric.The paper designs a long time sequence signal generator based on NI Compact RIO hardware platform and Lab VIEW software development platform.In the hardware design part,the overall architecture of the system is determined,the core components in the hardware architecture are selected,and appropriate filters are designed.In the software design part,the upper computer,RT and FPGA in the hardware platform are programmed separately to realize the function of constructing human-computer interaction interface and waveform display on the upper computer,the function of communicating with the upper computer and FPGA on the RT,and the function of calculating and processing the signal parameters on the FPGA,conversion and signal output.At last,the signal type,signal amplitude,signal frequency and system stability are tested.The test results show that the voltage signal source designed in the paper can generate a voltage signal generator with long time,non-periodic and complex excitation waveforms.Then the test requirements of transient dielectric properties of nonlinear insulation can be satisfied by subsequent amplification of linear high voltage amplifier.The paper lays a foundation for the study of transient dielectric properties of nonlinear dielectric.
