Study On Discourse Practice Of Media Criticism In Newspapers Published In The Central Soviet Area

During the period of the Second Revolutionary Civil War,the Communist Party of China was confronted with "internal and external troubles".Facing "internal troubles",the Communist Party of China actively organized and led the Red Army in the war against " encirclement and suppression";facing”foreign aggression",the Communist Party of China organized the masses to carry out " anti-imperialist"campaigns,vigorously calling for " anti-imperialist",and carried out armed struggles,especially anti-Japanese guerrilla war.Under such background,the Communist Party of China established the largest revolutionary base area in the south of Jiangxi and the west of Fujian--the Central Soviet Area.Later,many " red newspapers" emerged in the Central Soviet Area.In the face of disinformation of newspapers controlled by the National Party and rumors made by Japanese newspapers,the writers,editors and other staff of newspapers in the Central Soviet Area clarified and criticized them,letting people know the truth of matters,thus,enthusiasm of people to carry out the struggle was improved,and it contributed to the victory of the war,expand the scope of Revolutionary Base Areas,and consolidate the Soviet Regime.In addition,the media criticism subject of newspapers in the Central Soviet Area upheld the spirit of "criticism and self-criticism",they carried out discourse practices of media criticism to newspapers of the National Party and foreign newspapers,such as " Da Gong Baon","Asahi Shimbun" and so on,and criticized newspapers founded by the Communist Party of China,including " Hong Se Zhong Hua"," Qing Nian Shi Hua" and so on.It can be briefly summarized as " criticizing other newspapers" and " self-criticism".They wrote articles of media criticism published on the newspapers,and their main content is about praising progress and achievement made by " our newspapers",newspapers in the Central Soviet Area and other newspapers launched by the Communist Party of China,pointing out the shortage of them and problems they had,and putting forward some advice on how to improve them and solve the problems;criticizing newspapers of the National Party and foreign countries,including rumors made by them,false news launched by them and other media behaviors.During the Second Revolutionary Civil War,the discourse practice of media criticism of newspapers in the Central Soviet Area was particular in some way,because some critics were the staff of objects of media criticism,they belonged to the same class,and their discourse practices of media criticism were conducted with strong”self-criticism".In addition,due to the historical background and social environment at that time,the practices of media criticism were with strong political color and full of intense fighting spirit.This paper summarizes characteristics,the historical value and limitations of the practices by analyzing and sorting out the contents,genre,text characteristics and emotional expression of media criticism articles on newspapers in the Central Soviet Area.This paper is mainly composed of five chapters.The first chapter is about the research background,the research status,the situation of discourse practices of media criticism in China and foreign countries,and so on.The second chapter introduces related concepts,such as the Central Soviet Area,media criticism and so on,which provides theoretical support and basis for the research of this paper.The third chapter introduces the ecology of media criticism in the Central Soviet Area.The fourth chapter analyzes some articles of media criticism on newspapers in the Central Soviet Area,mainly analyzing their topics and contents in detail,and then summarizes their types of literature.Based on the fourth chapter,the fifth chapter makes a deeper analysis and research on those articles,summarizes time features and ideological characteristics,and analyzes the historical value and limitation of the discourse practices of media criticism on newspapers founded in the Central Soviet Area.Through the study of the discourse practices of media criticism on newspapers founded in the Central Soviet Area,it can be found that the subjects of media criticism adhered to the spirit of " criticism and self-criticism" and were guided by Marxism and Lenin's view of news when they were conducting discourse practices,thus,journalism was more developed and newspapers were better in the Central Soviet Area.
