The role of e-commerce in the economic growth is constantly increasing.Contributing to globalization and acceleration of information exchange,e-commerce is one of the main global trends in economic development.Currently,the e-commerce market in Russia is at the stage of intensive development,which depends on some limiting and driving factors.The relevance of the chosen research topic is determined by the importance of timely research on the aspects of the electronic commerce market development,understanding of its current states and problems to predict the future situation,determine the level of Russia's involvement in international e-commerce in order to find the best ways for strengthen and further develop,since this sector is a promising direction for country's integration into global trade relations.The main purpose of writing this project is to examine and analyze Russian e-commerce market,identify its problems and countermeasures,suggest the future development strategy.In the course of this study,development status and problems,countermeasures,influence factors and current situation on Russian e-commerce market are presented.Research methods as examine of related literature,comparative analysis and in-depth interviews were used.During the research,twenty in-depth interviews with Russian e-commerce experts were conducted,the opinions about current development problems on Russian e-commerce market and countermeasures are presented,were identified the main factors hindering the development of electronic commerce in Russia.Nowadays China is a global leader of e-commerce market,setting the benchmark for present and future global retailing.In this work comparative analysis of Chinese and Russian e-commerce markets is provided.China-Russian e-commerce was investigated,based on Chinese experience were identified appropriate methods for Russian e-commerce market development.Based on the results of the qualitative and comparative analysis,previous studies and current statistics the author suggests developing countermeasures for the electronic commerce market in Russia,which includes development of a proper legislative framework for electronic commerce,logistics system improvement,attraction of government investments for infrastructure development,local marketplace developing,enhance of cross-border e-commerce,online payment system improvement and promotion of online purchasing.This measures can be used by government and private sectors those who are working on e-commerce business.
