Research On Key Management Mechanism Of Mobile Ad Hoc Network

The mobile ad hoc network is a multi-hop temporary topology network consisting of a group of mobile terminals with wireless transceiver functions.It is widely used in various fields because of its flexibility and ease of deployment.It brings great convenience to people.However,because the mobile ad hoc network has the characteristics of open channel and no fixed infrastructure,it faces the risk of wireless interference and denial of service attacks.Therefore,it is a very important issue to design a safe and effective key management scheme for the mobile ad hoc networks.Focusing on the characteristics of mobile ad hoc networks,the thesis deeply analyzes the threats and security goals and studies the key issues of key management,then proposes a differentiated key management scheme to adapt to different network structures.The main work of the thesis is as follows:(1)Briefly describe the origin and development of mobile ad hoc networks,analyze their inherent characteristics,threats and challenges.On this basis,the requirements and security goals that should be met when designing the key management scheme in the mobile ad hoc network environment are proposed.(2)A symmetric key-based key management scheme for fast update of keys is proposed for small-scale,easy-to-maintain planar structure networks.Based on the Blom scheme,the scheme introduces modules such as identity authentication,untrusted node library,and node revocation,which reduces the computation and storage overheads of the node.And the scheme introduces a node accusation mechanism which allows nodes to accuse untrusted nodes.(3)A hash key chain-based key management scheme supporting broadcast authentication is proposed for large-scale clustered structure networks.The scheme analyzes the problems caused by “delayed authentication” in the broadcast authentication protocol.By improving the protocol and introducing an instant authentication mechanism,the node has the ability to resist DOS attacks and enhance system security.In summary,this paper takes the key management problem in the mobile ad hoc network as the main research goal,analyzes the characteristics,structure and security problems of the mobile ad hoc network,and clarifies the requirements to be met when designing the key management scheme.The symmetric key-based key management scheme proposed for the planar structure network introduces multiple functional modules,and allows the node to accuse the untrusted node,which reduces the harm of the malicious node to the mobile ad hoc network;The key management scheme based on the hash key chain solves the problem of delayed authentication,so that the node can quickly authenticate the broadcast message and improve the security of the network.And the thesis analyzes and contrasts the proposed scheme,and proves the superiority of the scheme.
