As demand for networks grows,5G networks need to cope with massive amounts of computing and mobile data traffic.Mobile Edge Computing(MEC)has been identified as a key technology for 5G networks,which provides users with lower latency data computing services and higher bandwidth mobile data services.In order to promote the implementation of MEC on commercial networks,we propose a specific design scheme of MEC platform,and implement the scheme.At the same time,the MEC platform needs to provide services for diversified businesses in 5G,but different businesses have unique indicators.Therefore,the MEC platform needs to provide customized MEC services for each type of businesses and to guarantee the quality of service for diversified businesses.This paper mainly focuses on the following research.In this paper,we propose a MEC platform design scheme based on Service Based Architecture(SBA).Firstly,we design MEC platform referring to a deployment scheme of MEC in 5G.The MEC platform can be seamlessly integrated with 5G network for it has unified design method and protocol with SBA and uses Service Based Interface(SBI)as the communication method of Network Function(NF).Secondly,referring to the design concept of NF in SBA and combining with MEC requirements,the functions of MEC are modularized and designed as NFs,which are further refined and designed as Network Function Service(NFS).Finally,we build an experimental prototype platform to verify the feasibility of the designed scheme.On the one hand,in order to provide a mobile communication network environment for the MEC platform,the LTE network experiment platform based on Network Function Virtualization(NFV)is built using the open source software OpenAirInterface(OAI).The platform has been fully tested and it is verified that the network experimental platform can provide a stable,high-rate and low-latency network environment to the MEC platform.On the other hand,the MEC experimental prototype platform is built on the Long Term Evolution(LTE)network experimental platform,and the SBI prototype interface,part of NFs and NFSs are implemented.The feasibility of the SBA based MEC platform design scheme is verified by experimental results.In order to further improve the design of the MEC platform and enable the MEC platform to guarantee the service quality of diversified businesses,we propose a design scheme of MEC templates and instances for diversified businesses.Subsequently,the structure of MEC templates and instances,the creation procedure of MEC templates,the instantiation procedures of MEC templates and the MEC templates are designed specifically.The MEC templates include an edge computing business template and an edge caching business template.Finally,the MEC templates and instances of the edge computing and caching business are implemented in the MEC experimental prototype platform.By testing the performance of the MEC instances' services,it is showed that the services provided by the MEC instances can guarantee the quality of service for the diversified MEC businesses,which verifies the design scheme of MEC templates and instances for the diversified businesses is feasible.
