With the development of simulation technology,the scale of simulation system becomes more and more complex,and the number and types of computing resources are increasing.Many problems has emerged in the traditional simulation development mode,such as the low sharing of simulation resources,the slow construction of simulation environment,and the big waste of system resources.Virtualization technology provides ideas for solving these problems and applies to some existing simulation systems successfully.However,the existing virtualization technology is depended on virtual machines generally,and it is necessary to build an entire operating system environment to achieve virtualization.The construction speed is slow,occupying a large amount of system resources,and it is difficult to realize rapid and large-scale virtualized environmental dynamic construction.At the same time,the granularity of the encapsulation is relatively large,and the application and the tool software are highly dependent on the virtualized environment during migration,which is not conducive to the consistency of simulation development and deployment.Regarding the problems above,based on the current new Docker virtualization technology in cloud computing field,the startup speed is fast,the resource consumption is low,and the volume is small.We propose a heterogeneous simulation resources containerization method for the simulation system to achieve fine-grained lightweight.We establish a cloud platform for simulation that implement the simulation resources sharing and the rapid construction of the simulation runtime environment.Through the platform the users can obtain simulation services on demand,perform simulation activities at any time and accelerate the efficiency of simulation development.We also realize a new scheduling strategy for simulation resources containers under the cloud platform.Based on Kubernetes,it implements the deployment and execution scheduling of simulation resources containers,improving the low utilization rate of traditional simulation systems,slow construction of simulation environment,and poor portability of simulation development environment.It promote common progress of the field of simulation and cloud computing.The simulation development module of the cloud platform for simulation provides a simulation resources development environment,which enables the simulation developers to focus on the development of the simulation models.The simulation resources management module provides the publish function of the simulation resources and the repository images management function.The simulation federation execution module can enable users find and call the simulation resources provided by the platform,start the relevant containers in the startup time far lower than the traditional VMs,quickly construct the required simulation federation operating environment,and obtain the simulation services.
