With the rapid development of intelligent monitoring technology,people's demand for large field of view and high-resolution images is increasing.Panoramic imaging system has become a contemporary research hotspot.In this paper,the key technology of single-chip 360° panoramic imaging optical system is studied.A miniaturized,low cost,large field of view and high resolution catadioptric panoramic camera is developed to realize 360°panoramic imaging in a small range.The main contents and achievements are as follows.Firstly,the overall design scheme of the panoramic imaging system is described in detail.The working principle of the catadioptric panoramic imaging system with single view and non-single view is introduced respectively.The catadioptric imaging system with single view is selected for design and simulation through analysis and comparison,and the basic parameters and shape dimensions of the catadioptric imaging system are preliminarily determined.Then,a catadioptric imaging system with focal length of 0.5mm,F-number of 2.3 and field-of-view angle of 360°×(40°~105°)is designed by using a combination of mirror and imaging lens.The operating wavelength of the system is 486nm~656nm.The experimental results show that the transfer function curve values of different field of view are higher than 0.5 at 143lp/mm.The imaging quality is good,which meets the requirements of high resolution imaging.The total length of the system meets the requirement of less than 55 mm in length,and the miniaturization design of the system is completed.In order to further increase the angle of view of the system,and consider the free surface with more degrees of freedom,a free-form surface catadioptric system with a resolution of more than 5 million pixels and a field-of-view angle of 360°×(30°~115°)is designed by replacing the reflector with Zernike polynomial free-form surface on the basis of the design index of the aspherical catadioptric system.The simulation result shows that the transfer function curve of the system is higher than 0.7 at 143lp/mm,which meets the design requirements of the system.Finally,considering the simulation results and processing costs of the two imaging systems,aspheric catadioptric system is selected for tolerance analysis and processing adjustment.The feasibility of the designed system is verified by collecting the actual panoramic view.The low cost and miniaturization of 360° high definition imaging is realized.
