Panoramic imaging system whose data source is the realistic scene use a specialdevice to get in the horizontal360°field of view, the vertical direction is equal to orgreater than180°field of view. Because of its surrounding environment can beexpressed totally, so it has more and more applications in the video surveillance, roboticvision, pipeline measurement, medical endoscopic examination and so on.The focus of this article is the catadioptric panoramic imaging system. Firstly, theinternational research and development of the panoramic imaging system is introduced.Secondly, describes several traditional methods of panoramic imaging system, analysisof multi-image splice and special optical components from basic principle to thespecific implementation, at the same time, from the perspective of the five methods arecompared and summarized. Finally, based on the theoretical analysis of catadioptricpanoramic imaging technology and the discussion of the reflector type, I design a newaspherical mirror panoramic imaging system. Through the optimization of the systemstructure, simulate the results in ZEMAX, which meet the requirements of panoramicimaging.
