Research On Subscribers Self-Presentation Of Social Short Video App GIF-Show

The advent of the new-media era has shifted real-life social networking to the Internet,interaction between people breaks through the traditional pattern.Instant video is in the teeth of storm,With 700 million users and great influence,GIF-Show talent showing itself.It has increasingly become a new field for individuals to present themselves,express their views and maintain their feelings.Compared with daily life,there are some new changes in the way individuals present themselves on stage of GIF-Show.This study is based on Goffman's Social Dramatic theory and regard GIF-Show as the stage of individual performances.This paper is conducted to study the self-presentation behavior of individuals on the GIF-Show through text analysis and in-depth interviews.In order to understand the strategy of self-presentation and the expression of public affairs in the network.The research findings are as follow,individuals present themselves selectively in GIF-Show by means of stage setting,personal foreground,scenario,and expect to create the ideal self-image to complete the role setting.Four performance strategies are usually adopted in performance,ideal highlighting,vague generalization,camouflage concealment and audience isolation,etc.In the process of self-presentation,the content presented by individuals is seldom directly related to the expression of public affairs.But there is a little resistance in the choice of music,the way of life and the treatment of traditional images.
