The invention of EDA is a pretty major leap for human science and technology.It has been widely used in many fields.It makes circuit design more efficient and simpler,and greatly liberates the designers' productivity.Therefore,almost all majors in science and engineering in the universities have EDA-related courses.But the traditional experiments of EDA course use stand-alone simulation software.The experimental environment has many limitations in time and space,and it is difficult to meet the experimental needs of students.This paper designs and implements the EDA virtual simulation experiment system using C/S architecture.The system realized the network online EDA design and experimental simulation function.Different from the traditional commercial EDA simulation software,the system separated the design function from the simulation function and deployed them in client and server of the system separately,the simulation requirements of any number of clients can be completed by accessing the server.The server is responsible for compiling and simulating the user design,and then returning the logical calculation results to the corresponding client.The experimental environment provided by the system is not limited by the site,time,equipment and content.Therefore,both teachers and students can use the system to conduct experiments at any time and any place,and exchange and share experimental results.The system includes five modules: user management,circuit design,transmission,task scheduling and simulation module.The five modules work together to complete the functions of the system.The system usage and test results show that the system can provide correct compilation and simulation functions,and support multi-user online concurrent experiments to meet the user's demand for an unrestricted experimental environment.In the concurrent experiment test of 57 people,the system was stable and the simulation response delay was within the allowable range.
