With the rapid development of communication technologies,the requirement for miniaturization and integration of communication systems is increasing.Passive microwave devices are a key part of communication systems,and their miniaturization and integration are paid more and more attention.Research on miniaturization technology of passive microwave devices has become an important research direction in the theory of electromagnetic fields and microwave technology.Based on the slotted slow-wave structure,we study the miniaturization of passive microwave devices,and design a variety of passive microwave devices based on slow-wave structure by ANSYS HFSS electromagnetic software.The main contents of the paper are as follows:1.The detailed introduction of the basic theory,the working principle and characteristics of slow wave structure.2.Two miniaturized low-pass filters for slow-wave structures based on defective ground structures are proposed.Both of the filters have the characteristics of broadband out-band suppresion.And the two defective ground structure low-pass filters are processed into physical tests,and the test results and simulation results are in good agreement.3.A novel horn antenna with a slow-wave substrate integrated waveguide(SW-SIW)structure is proposed.The operating frequency is 32.95 GHz to 34.58 GHz,the communication bandwidth is 1.63 GHz,and the gain is 10.8 dBi.Compared with the horn antenna without slow-wave structure,the working bandwidth and radiation efficiency of the antenna are greatly improved.4.A SW-SIW horn antenna with a terminal-loaded dipole array is proposed.The antenna enhances the directivity,strengthens sidelobe suppression and operating bandwidth,and improves antenna radiation efficiency and performance.The maximum radiation direction gain is 12.3dB,the operating frequency is 32.87 GHz to 35.08 GHz,and the communication bandwidth is 2.21 GHz.5.A SW-SIW structure horn antenna based on terminal loading printed strip structure is proposed.The antenna has an operating frequency of 29.67GHz-34.60 GHz,a communication bandwidth of 4.93 GHz,and a gain of 12.7dBi,which improves bandwidth,gain and side lobe suppression.
