In recent years,more and more research scholars pay attention to the development of the hologram type of compact range,because compared with the conventional reflector-type compact antenna test range(CATR),the hologram type of compact range has much more tolerance to manufacture error,and the processing cost of it is lower,so the hologram type of compact range has a broad application prospect in antenna test,targets' RCS measurement and so on.In fact,both microwave and light waves belongs to the electromagnetic wave.Although the concept of holography belongs to the information optics,if we wield analogy thought well,the concept of holography in the optical field can be applied to the microwave field,and we can get the holographic structure which can convert the spherical wave to the planar wave,this kind of technology can be widely used in the compact range measurement.The content of this paper involves the methods of measurement for antennas in the high frequency range,the holographic theory,the generation of holographic structure,the electromagnetic property and the improvements of the holographic structure,the error analysis and the practical application of hologram type of compact range and so on.In addition,on the basis of the study of surface wave antenna and conventional reflector-type CATR,this thesis tries to develop and improve planarized hologram type of compact range,which have tried to integrate feed with holographic structure to become tighter.In addition,I have made compared the transmission hologram type of compact range with planarized hologram type of compact range in some aspects of parameter index.I write this thesis in order to hope to provide some inspirations of hologram type of compact range for the later researchers.Firstly,this thesis introduce the research situation about the hologram type of compact range home and abroad,and on the basis of the study of hologram type of CATR and surface wave antenna,this thesis focuses on the planarized hologram type of compact range.This thesis starts with the methods of measurement for antennas,especially the reflector-type CATR which has been regarded as the frame of reference of the hologram type of compact range,and then talks about the holographic theory,after that,I have programmed to make holographic structures used in CATR with method of moment(Mo M)in my university's Supercomputing Centre.More importantly,I have simplified this holographic structure to get the HFSS model in order to make a preparation for later simulation work.Secondly,this thesis have studied the electromagnetic properties of holographic structure like the sensitivity of polarization,narrow band characteristic and so on.According to these properties,we also introduce some improvement measures.In addition,I have also made some error analyses about this holographic structure.During this process,I have made some relevant HFSS models and Hobbies models,and numeric calculations with the Mo M in my university's Supercomputing Centre in order to demonstrate relevant results.Finally,we have introduced the basic principles about surface wave and leaky wave antenna,and on the basis of these theories,I have simulated some HFSS models and Hobbies models of the surface wave launcher(SWL)which can be used as the feed of the planarized hologram type of compact range.In addition,with the different SWL arrays,I have tried to excite metal strips with the different apertures of quasi-plane wave in order to extend the range of quiet zone and find the relationships among the range of quiet zone,the number of feed and the aperture of holographic structure.Last but not least,I have made the error analysis of planarized hologram type of compact range,and compared it with the transmission hologram type of compact range in some aspects of parameter index.All the relevant models have been calculated with the Mo M in my university's Supercomputing Centre to demonstrate relevant results.
