With the development of information technology,the electronics have been widely used,and the information security problems have been much serious.The security of Integrated Circuits,the foundation of information system,has become a rising concern.Due to the high complexity and long design cycle of an integrated circuit,it is of great significance to evaluate its security and find out its security vulnerabilities in the design stage of an integrated circuit.Integrated circuits are seriously threaten by fault injection attack.At present,the main method to evaluate the security of integrated circuit against fault injection attack is to crack the key by fault analysis.If the key can be recovered,the integrated circuit is not safe.The disadvantage is that a single analysis method cannot prove that the circuit is secure enough.It is necessary to take various fault analysis methods into consideration.This paper presents an integrated circuit security assessment method based on a variety of key recover methods.According to the principle of key recover,the existing fault injection analysis methods are classified,and their analysis efficiency,fault model requirements,noise margin and algorithm complexity are analyzed.For the circuit under test,the assessment report is given by considering its ability to resist several types of analysis methods.On the other hand,some methods to systematically evaluate the fault attack capability of integrated circuits have been proposed in recent years.These methods basically design security metrics based on fault coverage.However,the evaluation method based on fault coverage tends to cause over-protection of the circuit.In this paper,a method of security assessment of integrated circuits based on information entropy is proposed.From the perspective of information theory,the information leakage of integrated circuits under the specified fault model is analyzed theoretically.Then,the information leaked by hardware simulation is obtained by using the hardware simulation platform.Based on the results of both,the secuirty of the circuit is evaluated.Taking AES encryption circuit as an example,the AES circuit with different degrees of protection are evaluated.Compared with the evaluation method based on key analysis,this method can evaluate the security of integrated circuits quantitatively.
