Fiber optic gyroscope(FOG)is a kind of angular rate sensor based on Sagnac effect,which can measure the angular rate of carrier by detecting the phase difference between two beams of light transmitted in opposite directions.FOG has lots of advantages,including simple structure,fast start-up,long life,impact resistance,no acceleration drift,large dynamic range,small size,and low costs.It has been widely used in military and civil fields,such as satellite positioning,missile guidance,aircraft navigation and so on.This research mainly focused on the design of the closed-loop integrated FOG,and proposed an automatic on-line measurement technology to improve the production efficiency of FOG.This thesis mainly introduces the design scheme of the closed-loop control system about FOG and all-digital on-line measurement schemes.Firstly,this thesis expounded the development status of FOG in the world and figured out the significance and main contents of my research.This study introduced the principles and classifications and analyzed signal detection methods of FOG,which can provide support for the follow-up design work.Secondly,the design scheme of closed-loop control system of FOG has been also introduced,including the establish of the closed-loop control model and the analysis of transfer function of FOG.The structure,optical path,circuit and software are designed detailly according to the general design scheme of FOG.The optical path has been designed and calculated with is simulation and analysis of the software which demonstrated the feasibilities of scheme and design through the mechanical and thermal simulation results.In addition,four key technologies involved in this scheme has been analyzed detailly in this research,including high-precision fiber-optic winding,integrated design of FOG,temperature compensation technology and over-modulation technology of the FOG.Finally,this thesis introduced the scheme of FOG automatic on-line measurement,function analysis of the scheme comprehensively,describes of the detailed realization of the scheme from the overall scheme,hardware and software aspects as well.FOG technology is relatively successful and has improved the market demands.Now FOG is in a new develop level which is how to improve its production.The scheme of automatic on-line tuning can make the gyroscope debugging and test more efficiently from the perspective of production,which simplified the operation process and decreased error rate.Finally,this thesis introduced the main technical specifications and test methods of the FOG.Furthermore,a specific test program gyroscope has been designed for this integrated prototype and the results show that the gyroscope achieves all of the performance requirements mentioned above which meets the requirements of application.
