Radar simulation platform is an indispensable training system for radar system function verification,parameter calibration,state verification and operator training.Its main function is to simulate and generate the radar echo signal with the desired characteristics,so as to test or calibrate the working software parameters of the radar system,and to detect the target searching and tracking ability of the radar system in the complex electromagnetic environment.It is an important means to check every function of radar system.The traditional measurement radar usually adopts the single carrier frequency signal system,which realizes the tracking of the target by mechanical scanning,and mainly aims at the single target measurement task.Therefore,its target simulator can only simulate the single carrier frequency echo signal in the process of single target motion change.Phased array radar belongs to electric scanning phased array system,which has excellent multi-target tracking and measuring ability,but the method used in its target simulator still remains at the technical level of time-sharing and single-target.It is impossible to simulate the complex environment of multi-target echo signal with background clutter and interference signal.And with the development of computational electromagnetics and electronic countermeasure technology,the electromagnetic environment in space is more complex,the interference means and methods emerge in an endless stream,and the electromagnetic scattering characteristics of targets become more and more normalized.It is very important to evaluate the anti-jamming effect of radar.Based on the above reasons,the paper puts forward and completes the design and development of multi-purpose simulation platform,using digital signal generation,digital signal storage and signal control technology combined with flight path control software design and development of multi-purpose simulation platform.It can simulate all kinds of typical reflection characteristics and flight process,break through the limitation of the original single target time-sharing simulation,has the ability of real-time simulation of multi-target echo signal near the space position,simulates as many as 40 targets at the same time,and the position is more accurate.It provides an effective way to solve the problems of repeated batch of the same target and staggered tracking of multiple targets when phased array radar tracks multiple targets.In order to adapt to the increasingly complex multi-target tracking scene,the role of the simulation platform is expanded,and the simulation and training functions such as clutter simulation,multi-target track message reproduction,broadband echo data generation and playback,interference signal simulation and so on are added.The target characteristic database is rich,and the matching rate of the feature algorithm is high.The multi-purpose simulation platform can reproduce the distribution characteristics of multi-targets and the complicated electromagnetic environment in the flight process,and can train the operators of phased array radar more pertinently.Further verification of the functions and performance of radar such as search,interception,point track processing,track generation,resource allocation and so on,will play a more important role in the phased array radar debugging,equipment operation training and selection of key parameters.
