Abstract/Summary:
The popularization and application of digital technology in maxillofacial surgery make the maxillofacial reconstruction gradually develop towards digital medical treatment.Digital design of maxillofacial is helpful not only for preoperative planning and surgical planning,but also for improving the efficiency and accuracy of clinical maxillofacial reconstruction.It has become one of the mainstream trends in the field of maxillofacial reconstruction.This paper focuses on the key technologies of maxillofacial modeling based on the clinical needs.The main tasks are as follows:(1)The method of median sagittal plane extraction based on generalized procrustes analysis is proposed.Firstly,the feature points of the maxillofacial anatomical structures are interactively picked up.Then,the maxillofacial model and the feature points were mirrored,and the generalized procrustes analysis algorithm is used to realize the registration of the models.Finally,based on the positional relationship between the registered models,an accurate modeling of the median sagittal plane of the maxillofacial is achieved.(2)For the unilateral maxillofacial defect,the reconstruction technique of maxillofacial defect based on mirroring similar features is proposed.Firstly,the algorithm of extracting characteristic lines of the maxillofacial defect area is researched,and the characteristic line is mirrored to the healthy side to trim surface.Then,the trimmed surface is mirrored to the maxillofacial defect and the mesh fusion algorithm for overlapping area is studied.Finally,for the holes in the mesh model,the algorithm for repairing holes in mesh surfaces based on radial basis function is studied,and finally we implement the modeling design of defect repair in maxillofacial models.(3)For the large bone defect in maxillofacial area,we propose a modeling method of maxillofacial prosthesis based on the topological optimization.Firstly,the main support distribution of the maxillofacial anatomy is analyzed,and the parametric modeling method of the optimization model is studied based on the morphology of the defect area.Then,according to the actual loading condition of the maxillofacial region,the load boundary conditions are carried out for topology optimization,and finally a simulation on topology optimization for maxillofacial prosthesis is conducted.
