Design And Implementation Of UEFI-based Data Backup System

Alone with the development of information technology,the situation of data security has become increasingly severe,thus the protection of personal private data has become more important.How to ensure the safe use of data in the Internet environment has become an important issue.Data backup is a good choice for such problems,but the disaster recovery capability of local data backup is low,thus it is difficult to eliminate the risk of data corruption.Internet companies' cloud storage solutions are not only affected by network bandwidth,but also rely heavily on services provided by Internet companies.Once the company's business about cloud storage services has changed,the user's data security is difficult to guarantee.In addition,the traditional backup client running on the operating system,it is difficult to operate crossplatform backup,if the user has a variety of devices,then must to use a variety of different backup clients,which would make people boring and tired.Therefore,an effective cross-platform backup solution is very necessary.This dissertation proposes a UEFI-based cloud backup system that can provide data backup and recovery services to personal user.The backup data is stored on a private server in the LAN and eliminate the dependence problem of external cloud storage services.The client runs in the UEFI environment make it independent from platforms and operating systems.The main tasks of this dissertation are:Analyze the technologies about data backup then choose the most suitable ones.Make requirement analysis about the backup system and design he overall structure of the backup system.Designed the client and cloud storage server of data backup system respectively,and optimized the performance of the key modules.Make functional test to the backup system.The result shows that this backup system is fully functioning and has good performance,and can complete data backup and recovery tasks.
