With the large-scale application of the formation made up of unmanned aerial vehicles and unmanned surface vessels in work and life,Mobile ad hoc network(MANET)in formation system has become a research hotspot.MANET is composed of several mobile nodes, each of which is a workstation and router.MANET has a huge application prospect because of its flexibility and autonomy, but that advantages make it difficult to desgin and implement MANET.The routing protocol in the MANET communication protocol stack is one of the most important parts.Compared with the routing problem in the wired network, which of the MANET is more difficult.Routing protocol have also been the focus of research in the field of MANET.After studying the characteristics of MANET and the existing research results, two improvements are made to improve route stability and repair capabilities based on the Ad hoc On-Demand Distance Vector Routing(AODV)routing protocol.Firstly, the wireless link connectivity is modeled.Wireless link connectivity is an important basis for routing protocol simulation.Establish a Transmission Environment Power Loss Model to integrate the power fading caused by the transmission environment. Then introduce the Semi-Markov Smooth Model as the node movement model.Followed by the establishment of Markov Wireless Link Connectivity Model, the model is simulated combining with the Transmission Environment Power Loss Model and node movement model.Secondly, the AODV protocol is improved. The shortcomings of the AODV routing protocol are analyzed from after simulation, and based on that two aspects of AODV protocol are improved. One of improvements is making the route discovery method aim at route stability, which making route more stable. The other is changing the route repair capabilities. Each of nodes in the MANET maintain a neighbor node routing table within a two-hop range. When a route breaks, the node can quickly restore routing connectivity by using the neighbor node routing table.Thirdly, the improved routing protocol is simulated based on the OPNET simulation software. After briefly introducing the characteristics and simulation mechanism of OPNET,the routing protocol is simulated by setting different simulation environments.Compared with the simulation results of AODV routing protocol and improved routing protocol, the effectiveness of the improved AODV routing protocol is proved. Finally, the AODV routing protocol is implemented in the Linux operating system. After introducing the implementation scheme of AODV routing protocol, the experimental platform of MANET is built. The connectivity test,multi-hop communication test and end-to-end delay test of AODV protocol are carried out based on the experimental platform, which proves the practicability of AODV routing protocol.
