As the coming of IOT (Internet of Things) times, Wireless Sensor Network(WSN),which is considered as the key technology of IOT, has aroused attention from academia andindustry. And there are a lot of fields that involve WSN, including military, traffic, environmental monitoring, and so on. In WSN, the sensor nodes with limited energy are largescale, and they are not easy to replace. Therefore, the optimization utilization of energy andprolonging the lifetime of WSN has become a challenging problem while designing therouting of network layer.A good routing protocol mainly includes routing initialization and its maintenance.Routing initialization refers to the establishment of the routing path, route maintenance maybe considered as the routing repair of initial routing in one sense.Aiming at the route maintenance of WSN, the paper firstly discussed the main factors, which influence the WSN routing design, including RSSI (Received Signal StrengthIndication), energy, angle and progress. In order to determine the communication range ofrouting node, the RSSI estimation algorithm based on M estimator is designed, the computersimulations verify that the RSSI estimation algorithm based on M-estimator could reduce themean square error of RSSI effectively, This provides a kind of more reliable means ofobservation on the application research based on RSSI in the future work. Then two kinds ofrouting repair algorithm are designed, which combined RSSI with angle and progress, respectively. To analysis two kinds of algorithms better, the routing hops, the average energyconsumption of sensor node and lifetime are considered to be the performance index. Thecomputer simulations verify that routing repair algorithm combined energy with angleprolong the lifetime of WSN in some degree, however, the average energy consumption ofsensor node is relatively high, while the algorithm combined energy with progress hassuperiority in terms of the average energy consumption of sensor node and the lifetime of thewhole network. Finally, the paper summarizes the research work, and presents next work.
