From the development experience of the LTE system and other mobile communication,the terminal is always the weak link of its industrialization and commercialization,which often restricts the pace of industrial development.In order to make LTE-A Pro and its evolved technologies maintaining market competitiveness and technology leadership in a long time,and at the same time avoid constraining the construction of the industrial chain and the expansion of services,LTE-A Pro terminal systems tests and studies are particularly important.This project is based on the project “Research on Key Technology of LTE-A Multi-UE Base Station Load and Capacity Testing” and the key project of Chongqing Science and Technology Commission“Development and Application of 5G Terminal Analog Devices”.Taking the RRC connection establishment process of the terminalRRC layer as a test point to examine the design of the various modules,the program execution path,the statusjump,and simultaneously verify the correctness and stability of each parameter data.A complete single-layer testing can effectivelyimprove the quality of LTE-A Pro terminals,promote the maturity of LTE-A Pro terminal technologies and developthe terminal industry.The main work and innovation points of the thesis are as follows:1.The project “Development and Application of 5G Terminal Analog Devices”integrate two application scenarios of LTE-A and NB-IoT,in which the support of mass terminals requires high-efficiency data processing capabilities.Therefore,in order to adapt to the actual needs of the project and change the traditional system architecture,the overall protocol stack is divided into two parts.Layer 3 functions are implemented in the PC.The functions of Layer 2 and Layer 1 are executed in multi-core DSP.The highspeed processing speed of the multi-core DSP just satisfies the requirements of the underlying operating efficiency2.Combining the traditional testing scheme and the testing method in the protocol,the project adopted modular design concepts,for example,dual-threaded,socket communication,and adaptation layer.Based on the VS2012 development environment,the project designed a single-layer test system architecture and separated test cases and function codes to implement the operation of user-defined test cases.3.Combining the protocol specification and testing case execution flow,the project designed the layer interaction primitives and message structure parameters for the information transmission between RRC and its interaction layer.It is can ensure the overall operation of the stack system.In addition,to solve the abnormal problem of the test instance itself,an exception protection mechanism was added to the design of the testing case scenario,which can enable the testing case to be processed in an abnormal situation.This can ensures the feasibility of the testing run.4.Finally,the designed testing cases are debugged on the board.The test coverage included normal conditions and various possible abnormal conditions.After several dozens of test processes,the testing case pass rate was 100%.It verifyed the feasibility of the testing scheme and the correctness of testing case.Simultaneously,it also proved the correctness of the function code designed of the RRC layer and the agreement with the protocol.
