With the rapid development of wireless communication technology,people's requirement on quality of service in wireless network environment is increasingly high.Wireless Mesh Network(WMN)as a key technology of modern wireless communication which is a kind of widely used network structure,since it has many features such as low construction cost,easy installation and maintenance,high reliability and good scalability,and WMN can also be applied in many special application scenarios,which make it be extensive attention by academia and industry.Therefore,it is significant to study how to efficiently use the resources in WMN.In this paper,we mainly study the channel allocation mechanism in WMN,through reasonable channel allocation,reduce interference in the network,in order to achieve the improvement of network capacity.Firstly,we introduce the related technologies of WMN.Then,we investigate many channel allocation algorithm for Multi-Interface and Multi-Channel Wireless Mesh Network(MIMCWMN).Through the analysis of the existing algorithm,we design the Minimize Average Link Interference(MALI)channel allocation algorithm and the Minimize Link Interference Pairs(MLIP)channel allocation algorithm by the minimize of interference for whether the link load is known or not.Secondly,we experiments with the two algorithms.For the MALI channel allocation algorithm,we experiment it with the compared algorithm in grid network and non-grid network,through analysis the experimental data we obtain the conclusion that the MALI channel allocation algorithm has the better performance;For the MLIP channel allocation algorithm,we also experiment it with the compared algorithm in grid network and non-grid network,we also obtain the conclusion that the MLIP channel allocation algorithm has the better performance.Lastly,according to the "Cross-Layer Design of Wireless Network Routing Optimization Algorithm Library" project cooperated by our laboratory and an extramural scientific research institute,we built a small MIMC-WMN system with the OpenWRT system.Meanwhile,we modify the open source OLSRd software so that it can carry and release the calculation results of channel allocation algorithm to each node in the network.Then,we transplant a MIMC-WMN system channel automatic allocation algorithm designed in this paper into the built system to realize the optimal configuration of the network system.And we through experiments verifies the validity of the algorithm and the robustness of the system.
