Radar stealth technology has got growing attention of researchers in order to improve the anti-reconnaissance capability and survivability on the battlefield.The frequency selective surface(FSS)structures is nearly transparent to the electromagnetic(EM)waves in working band of the antenna,while reflecting the EM out of band away from the incoming wave,realizing the monostatic RCS reduction.However,the EM reflected could be captured in some directions under two-station or multi-station radar detection.The theory of an frequency selective rasorbers(FSR)has been researched and several FSR structures have been proposed in this paper,which realized low loss in transmission band,while it absorbs the out-of-band EM waves instead of reflecting them.Compared to FSS structure,the radiation property of the antenna will be impervious under FSR radome,and bistatic RCS reduction is achieved leading to all around stealth for the system.Firstly,a band-pass FSR structures based on the absorbing in the low frequency of the magnetic materials is proposed and constructed in this paper,which exhibits a transparent band from 5.03 GHz to 6.49 GHz and two absorption bands at its two sides,with a low insert loss less than 0.62 d B in transmission band.The equivalent circuit model is used to analyze the design in detail.The results of numerical simulation and experimental sample testing both verify the wave excellent absorbability and angular stability of the structure.In addition,the presented example features thin thickness(0.106?_L),and no lumped component is needed,while greatly facilitates the fabrication and reduces the cost.Based on the low loss of the magnetic material in high frequency(12.8-16.4 GHz),the FSR with property of transmission at high frequency and absorption over lower band is presented by adjusting the resonances of the transmission PPW and meander-line,and the performance of the wave-absorbing are verified by the simulation.Finally,a dual-polarization FSR based on the is proposed,using the substrate integrated waveguide(SIW)antenna as ground plane and the influence on the radiation and scattering performance of the original antenna is explained in the paper.The result of simulation and measurement showed that RCS of antenna is reduced significantly.
