With the rapid social development and significant increase of the average disposable income per capita since the 21st century,the average life quality of the mass population improved a lot and therefore,traveling becomes a common and popular choice of entertain after-work.People prefer air planes or trains for long distance travel,while cars and other passenger transport are the better choice for short distance for its safety,convenience and cost efficiency.As a result,passenger transport is growing rapidly in recent years.Unfortunately,the current management facility,system and skill are not well developed to cope with the increasing needs from the industry.It might even be potentially threatening to both corporate brand imagery and passengers'safety if the industry is not able to monitor the operation in real time and react with timely measures.Therefore,it is a real innovation to create a comprehensive passenger transport safety management system to protect the passengers,making sure they can enjoy their safe and convenient trip,and to improve the enterprise service.The main subject of the paper is to discuss the design and implementation of the passenger transport safety management system.Some major modules including security management,alarm management,basic data management,query management and plan management etc.are analyzed elaborately.The main contents are listed as follows:(1)The system can trigger alarm automatically,when the vehicle is out of boundaries,over speed or other violations,the monitor system will send alarms to the operators and immediate follow-up can be taken place as needed to minimize the potential safety treat.(2)They system uses the GPRS network to transfer message between different vehicles including alarm and vehicle status,so that the monitor center can analyze the data based on that.(3)The scheduling management can analyze the collected data and send the real time command to the terminal,so the system can monitor all the vehicles together and control them in real time.This can increase the capacity of the transportation control office effectively.(4)The system use SQL Server restore and backup method to ensure the system security and reliability.In addition to the induction of the functionality of each module,this paper also includes system testing that designed individually for each module,and then tested the system with real cases.Aside from that,performance testing was also executed and some issues are found and fixed.The system built in this paper is applied to a passenger transportation station.After implementation of the system of one control point station for some time,many good feedbacks received.System is proven to be reliable and easy to use,and it can significantly improve the transportation safety and ease of management.
