Motion Wristband And APP Interactive Design For People With Language Barriers

The flow of information in today's society is becoming more and more frequent.Communication is an important demand for everyone.However,because of their physical defects,people with language barriers are difficult to communicate smoothly with ordinary people who are not familiar with sign language.Therefore,there is an urgent need for a tool that can realize the conversion between the sign language and normal language,so as to meet their needs of exchanging information with the outside world and freely expressing their emotions.Considering the plight faced by people with language barriers,this paper,based on the gesture recognition technology,proposes a set of solutions,which is the comprehensive application of the motion wristband and mobile terminal APP.Adopting the literature review method,this paper studies the classification and status of current gesture recognition technology,and learns about the needs of those with language barriers through field investigation and questionnaire research.Based on this,the functional positioning of the wristband and APP is obtained,and applied to specific design practices.In the development process of the motion wristband and APP,this paper conducts a comparative analysis of similar products,selects the hardware that is most suitable for the production of wristbands,and designs communication functions such as sign language translation and voice conversion.It also introduces the function of “air guitar playing” innovatively to meet the rehabilitative emotional needs of people with language barriers,and designs the appearance of the motion wristband and the APP interface according to the physiological and psychological characteristics of this specific group,and finally completes a set of motion hand and APP product to help people with language barriers to exchange information and convey their emotions.The research of this paper is an attempt in the field of barrier assistance,and the research results are expected to be used to help people with language barriers to improve their communication ability and life quality.
