Development Of The Intelligent Measurement System On Coordinate Measuring Machine

In the field of micro/nano measurement,CMM is widely used in the measurement of round holes,grooves and other small workpieces due to its high precision and good repeatability.However,CMM is not suitable for some fast-paced measurement industry because of its low efficiency and inconvenience.Therefore,how to improve the simplicity and efficiency of CMM is an urgent problem to be solved.Based on the principle of binocular stereo vision,an intelligent measuring system is presented for the traditional CMM.The main research contents are as follows:1.In this paper,the relation between the world coordinates and the CMM coordinates is established by taking the calibration target coordinates as an intermediary.It can solve the problem that the guiding distance in the world coordinates is difficult to be converted to the displacement of each axis of the CMM in the guiding process.As a result,the precision loss of the guiding distance in the conversion is reduced and the guiding accuracy of the intelligent measuring system is improved.2.Due to the small size of the probe and the workpiece,it is difficult to obtain the matching points of the probe center and the workpiece feature center in the left and right images.Based on relevant image processing,the image coordinates of matching points are acquired accurately by means of interpolation amplification,feature fitting and edge points quality improvement.3.The feature learning library is established by processing the images of workpiece,and the measurement routes library of the different workpiece is also set up for reference.Double verification is added to the classifier to make it more accurate differentiating the label.So the system measures the workpiece intelligently using the corresponding routes.4.The intelligent measurement system is based on two same type cameras.With stereo calibrating and software developing,the CMM measurement is more handy.Through the analysis of measurement data and experimental results,the intelligent measurement system has high measurement efficiency and accuracy.
