The distributed fiber sensing with high resolution has been developed in the high precision structural monitoring like seismic waves, the position of petroleum leakage.Resolving issues of high-precision distributed optical fiber sensing technology is content with the actual needs of national livelihoods.Researches on distributed fiber sensing with high resolution based on Brillouin scattering have been investigated in this paper, which will be described in details as follows:We demonstrated a dynamic Brillouin distributed optical fiber sensor with arctangent function algorithm to processing the vibration information. We have analyzed the superior noise of the demodulation algorithm and proved its application in distributed Brillouin fiber sensing of dynamic strain with high precision.A kind of polarization-maintaining photonic crystal fiber based on liquid ethanol material which is highly sensitive to temperature was designed.Effect of temperature on the PM-PCF's birefringence-induced frequency shift??Bire of BDG was discussed. The results show that the liquid ethanol filled PM-PCF has high temperature coefficient of BDG frequency compared with normal birefringent fiber.A widely tunable multi-wavelength Brillouin fiber laser was proposed and experimentally demonstrated. The frequency spacing can be switched by changing the position of the output port of EDFA.The advantages of tunable ability, switchable ability and good stability make the proposed multi-wavelength Brillouin fiber laser has potential application in Brillouin distributed optical fiber sensing.
