This paper is based on the application status of persuasive design in the design of smart phone mobile application and the technology trend that information technology is rapidly developing from mobile Internet technology to Internet of Things technology. In view of the shortcomings of the mobile persuasive products in terms of information perception and performance, exploring the design opportunities and design methods of products in the context of Internet of Things technology. This paper starts with two aspects: persuasive design and IoT technology. In the aspect of persuasive design, the theoretical research results of persuasive design in recent years are analyzed, especially the behavior change model(FBM),behavioral table model, perceptual technical function model proposed by Professor BJ Fogg and the proposed Persuasive System Design Model(PSDM)proposed by Finnish scholars Oinas-Kukkonen and Harjumaa. In the aspect of IoT technology, the concept of the Internet of Things and the related theories of the Internet of Things technology are analyzed, such as the Internet of Things technology levels, the Internet of Things connection dimension, the Internet of Things connection hardware types and the IoT information function model. The combing of these theoretical results lays a theoretical foundation for this study.By analyzing the mobile persuasive product cases in the software application market combining the persuasive design theory,it is proposed that the persuasive technology realizes the persuasion function by using information as an external trigger to enhance the user's internal behavioral motivation and behavioral ability. The interaction model of persuasion technology is proposed on the basis of the human-machine interface user task model concept.Combining the interaction model of persuasion technology and the IoT technology information function module, the functional stage view of persuasion technology is proposed, which includes data perception module,data/information transformation model and data/information application model.Based on this, the concept of persuasion system is proposed and the functional objectives of the persuasive system are given.Based on the analysis results of the mobile persuasion products and the technical characteristics of the Internet of Things technology, the design model of the persuasion system based on the Internet of Things technology is proposed and the subdivision elements in each design module in the persuasion system are given. The persuasive system design model is divided into four parts: persuasive situation analysis,data/information perception, information transformation mechanism and persuasion information effect. Each part of the model corresponds to corresponding design elements.Based on the content of the persuasion system design model and model elements, the design principles, design flow and design strategy of the persuasive system based on the Internet of Things technology are proposed. At last, the design method is applied to the design project. For the first time, the method of persuasive design is studied from the perspective of information technology, and this paper explores the design opportunities of products under the Internet of Things technology. From the view of information, the behavior change elements are built connection with the persuasion technology, and the persuasive system design model is established according to the information life cycle. In addition of this,in the context of the current domestic application of Internet of Things technology in the civilian field is limited in the electrical controlling, the design potential of the Internet of Things technology is explored from the perspective of information in this paper.
