The explosive growth of networking and fast communication technologies has a large amount of digital information transmitted over the Internet every second.However,this transmitted information is highly sensitive,so the data attracts the attention of malicious attackers.Therefore,the security of protecting this information is a matter of great concern to many researchers.In addition to the high embedding capacity and high visual quality requirements for hidden images,restoring the original carrier image without any distortion is also a goal of data hiding applications.In order to meet all of these requirements,many reversible data hiding algorithms have been proposed to improve the embedding efficiency.Therefore,information hiding guarantees the security of the transmitted digital information.In this paper,the standard gray image is used as the carrier image to improve the related reversible data hiding algorithm,and the embedding capacity is further improved while ensuring the image quality.To this end,the main content and innovations of the paper are introduced below:(1)The basic theory of reversible data hiding and the basic methods of reversible data hiding are briefly described,which provides direction and basis for the innovation of this paper.(2)Aiming at the contradiction between image quality and embedding capacity in reversible data hiding,a reversible data hiding method combining central folding technology and least significant bit replacement is proposed.Dividing the bit plane of the pixel to obtain two bit planes;then folding the secret data by the center folding technique,and embedding the folded secret data into the original pixels to generate two hidden pixels;finally replacing the secret with the least significant bit Data is embedded in hidden pixels to further increase the embedded capacity.The experimental results show that,under the same embedding capacity,the PSNR of the image is more than 4dB higher than the correlation algorithm after embedding the secret information,which has larger embedding capacity and better imperceptibility.(3)Aiming at the problem that the embedding performance needs to be improved under the condition of high embedding rate,a selection strategy of shiftable pixel coordinates and areversible information hiding method of least significant bits are proposed.A selection strategy that uses shiftable pixel coordinates with minimal distortion.Although the hidden double pixels in the center folding method are shifted with minimal distortion,another shiftable pixel coordinate can be used without any additional distortion,and then the image embedded in the information is replaced with the least significant bit.Secondary embedding of the image.By embedding additional message bits in each newly discovered alternate pixel coordinate,the embedding rate can be increased without degrading the visual quality.The experimental results show that the same hidden image quality and embedding rate are improved.
