Text Information Emission In FM Stereo Broadcasting

RDS Radio Data Broadcasting System is a special radio broadcasting system developed by BBC.It can transmit digital information of station name,program type,program content and other content in FM broadcast transmission signal through subcarrier.The recognition and processing of these digital signals are accomplished by a tuner with RDS function.The functions of AF and TA are the main features of RDS broadcasting.When the signal is below a threshold value,AF automatic frequency adjustment automatically searches for other transmission frequency series transmitted by the radio station.The "communication information" function(TA function),also known as "traffic announcement",is the unique function of RDS radio system.In the event of a special emergency,the radio will send out a signal that is forcibly broadcast by the radio.In addition,there are some other functions,such as: time baseline launch,automatic radio time adjustment,etc.,RDS is very convenient to use in mobile devices such as automobiles,mobile phones.The main work of this paper is how to generate FM-STEREO/RDS measurement data and how to implement FM-STERE0/RDS broadcasting system.The stereo modulation and RDS text information encoding and modulation are realized by using the software of matlab.The encoding,error checking and synchronization of RDS data source information and the data frame format of RDS are studied from several levels.Secondly,FM-STEREO/RDS measurement data are generated by computer simulation.Finally,the modulated digital signal is converted into an analog signal which can be transmitted by the transmitter using D/A converter.The analog signal is sent to the FM broadcasting transmitter with BA1404 as the core component.The received signal is verified by the special text data broadcasting receiver.Finally,the stereo signal is received in the frequency band of 94.6MHz.
