The Research Papers Of Quantitative Analysis Of Osiris

Osiris is an authoritative journal of international history of science and a sister Journal of ISIS.It plays an irreplaceable role in the study of history of science.This paper uses the method of scientometrics to classify and analyze the research papers of Osiris,and compares them with the relevant measurement results of ISIS journal,so as to analyze the development of the history of science and the future trend of research,and finally draws three main conclusions: the decline of the history of scientific thought,the rise of the history of scientific society and the emergence of big data.Since the 1960 s,the research methods of scientometrics have been widely used in the field of the history of science,thus improving the breadth and depth of the study of the history of science.By using the method of scientometrics,this paper classifies all the papers on the history of Science published in Osiris(1936-2017),an authoritative international journal of the history of science,and makes a quantitative analysis of them.Through the quantitative research according to the three categories of disciplines,themes and dynasties,it speculates the historical hotspots and development trends of the research on the history of science.This paper sorted out the articles of Osiris journal by three categories: discipline,theme and dating.It was found that,on the whole,the research hotspots of Osiris were mainly concentrated in medical science,the research hotspots of theme were mainly concentrated in the history of science and society,and the research hotspots of dating were mainly concentrated in the 19 th and 20 th centuries.At the same time,taking the 1970 s as a demarcation point,the paper compares the changes of research hotspots in the history of science between Osiris and ISIS around the 1970 s,and finds that before the 1970 s,the research hotspots of the discipline tended to be medical disciplines,the research hotspots of the subject tended to be the history of scientific thought,and the research hotspots of the dynasties tended to be in the 18 th and 19 th centuries.Century;"Osiris" after 1970 s,the research hotspot of discipline tends to general science history discipline,the research hotspot of subject tends to science social history,the research hotspot of dating tends to 20 th century and 21 st century;"ISIS" before 1970 s,the research hotspot of discipline tends to physics discipline,the research hotspot of subject tends to character history,the research hotspot of dating era.It tends to be in ancient Greece and the Middle Ages;after the 1970 s,the research focus of ISIS tends to be in the history of science and society,while the research focus of dating tends to be in the 19 th and 20 th centuries.It can be explained that the development of the history of science has gone from one discipline to another,from the traditional internal history to the external history,from ancient Greece and Rome to the modern society.
