The rapid rise of the Internet has reconstructed the current social relations,and gradually promoted the division of social strata.The new media space in the context of Web2.0 era has changed users' social habits,reshaped traditional interpersonal relationships,endowed new media users with the right to speak and express,and encouraged people to show themselves in the new media,users' behavior in social media,such as text performances,picture performances and so on can all be regarded as taste performances on the Internet.Bourdieu believes that members of every class express their relationship and distance with other classes through the choice of interests.In the analysis of the behavior of WeChat Moments,most of the existing literature relies on Goffman's self-presentation theory,and few papers are analyzed from the perspective of Bourdieu's "taste".Therefore,this study conducted self-reports and in-depth interviews with 21 young users on WeChat,trying to analyze the taste of young groups in WeChat,and how the taste performance on WeChat affects users' status identification.This study includes three core parts: First,the behavior of youth groups in WeChat Moments;Second,how WeChat taste performance affects the status identification of youth groups;Third,the behavior and strategy of youth groups in constructing the status identification through WeChat.According to the research results,the following conclusions can be drawn:(1)There is a taste community in WeChat.People will divide their tastes according to the content presented in WeChat.Taste division makes everyone confined in their own "tasting cocoon room".Taste performance behaviors that will cause distinction in the WeChat Moments mainly include: spam,showing off,complaining,as well as selfie.(2)For the relationship between taste performance and status identification in the WeChat Moments,respondents who can judge and manage their own taste community will construct higher status identification,while those who have no concept of their own style orientation in the WeChat Moments will usually have lower status identification.Respondents who can distinguish their own tastes from others in the WeChat Moments have higher status identification than those who cannot distinguish their own styles.For the antipathetic behavior in the WeChat Moments,the respondents with high and low class identity ranked spam the first,and the frequent selfie-takers in the WeChat Moments also had low recognition of status identification.(3)Daily life narrative and textual performances can reveal their own strata;Setting up "visible to whom" and "invisible to whom" in the WeChat Moments can differentiate the strata;People of the same stratum are more likely to appear in a WeChat group and interact in the WeChat Moments,interaction with others in the WeChat is a process of strata confirmation.
