With the improvement of living standards, there are ever-increasing demands on health care services in our society. As a response to such demands, the "Internet + health care" initiative was proposed by the State Council of China, which promotes information sharing among medical organizations. However, the problem is that hospitals are still running independently, and do not share their medical records as their medical systems are isolated to each other.Consequently,it is difficult for doctors to perform accurate diagnosis for patients due to lack of a complete treatment history of the patients.Fortunately, the blockchain technology,a decentralized,non-tamperable and traceable distributed ledger system, provides a new approach to solve the problem. This paper presents a patient-centered shared electronic medical record system based on Hyperledger Fabric.First of all, this paper analyzes the hospital's business process, including hospital department management, patient registration, doctor consultation. Then, this paper designs a set of management strategies and business processes that can guarantee the patient's privacy and also provide sufficient authority for doctors' consultation by employing the blockchain technology. The proposed system is built upon seven smart contracts deployed in the blockchain. In order to invoke and execute these smart contracts, this paper designs a set of web services.Through these web services, the electronic medical records in the blockchain can be visually presented to the end users, and shared and transmitted among medical organizaitons. The system solves the trust problem among organizations, and realizes the secure storage and data sharing. In summary, this paper proposes a promising approach to address the problem of data isolation among medical organizaitons.
