With the popularity and development of the Internet, more and more universities and enterprises have upgraded the campus network to a multi-service provider architecture, and multiple ISPs(Internet Service Provider)will provide network services for campus users at the same time. Therefore, how to properly schedule the network traffic of users in the campus to each service provider has become an important research topic. With the development of CDN(Content Delivery Network)technology, the DNS(Domain Name System)based muti-service provider network traffic scheduling has gradually been adopted and deployed by many campuses. The DNS server cluster in the campus forwards the DNS requests of all users in the area to the DNS servers corresponding to the service providers. These IP addresses of DNS responses usually belong to the specific ISP network under the intervention of the CDN technology. This solution solves the problems of high delay and packet loss caused by the traffic scheduler due to cross-network access. However, the DNS requests don't truly reflect the actual traffic size of the application. The DNS-based method is not accurate, the bandwidth utilization of the egress link is not stable.Regarding the issue above, this paper proposes a muti-service provider network traffic scheduling system based on application perception(TSAP),which applies application perception to network traffic of the campus, and separately schedules application software traffic on the DNS side, thereby improving scheduling accuracy. The scheduling effect is smoother. The research content includes two aspects:Firstly,a multi-service provider network traffic scheduling method based on application perception is proposed. The method consists of thr-ee parts:application perception, egress link traffic prediction and DNS traffic scheduling based on application domain name.Secondly, based on the scheduling method,a multi-service provider network traffic scheduling system is designed and implemented. The system mainly includes modules such as data collection, data analysis and DNS scheduling.Considering the DNS concurrent situation in the actual campus network environment, the scheduling system can run stably. The experimental results show that the TSAP has better scheduling accuracy and better scheduling stability than the existing DNS-based method. In addition, the TSAP system can run stably in campus network environment, and the request response time of the campus users does not increase significantly, and the system performance meets expectations.
