Real-time target tracking technology is a hot topic that involves a variety of digital image processing technologies,machine vision,embedded,and emerging deep learning applications in the last two years.How to correctly detect,identify,and track the target correctly is a complex issue.Real-time target tracking technology has been widely used in military,industrial,and automotive applications.With the development of integrated circuits and information processing technologies,in the face of various applications with high resolution,high frame rates,and large amounts of data,this requires that our system devices have high performance,reliability,and can handle complex data algorithms.Therefore,this paper designs a set of FPGA+DSP-based image processing platform based on a comprehensive consideration of various hardware platforms.This paper designs and implements a real-time target tracking system based on Xilinx 7 series FPGA and TI TMS320C6657 dual-core DSP.The system uses TI multi-core DSP as the main processor of the real-time target tracking system,which is mainly used to implement various target tracking algorithms.The system Artix-7 FPGA as the coprocessor and control unit of the entire system,mainly complete the collection of two video images,coordinate each peripheral function module,control the DSP power su PPly and reset,and complete the target tracking result display.The video input front end of the real-time target tracking system consists of one SDI data and one high-speed serial infrared image input part.The FPGA and DSP are connected through the u PP,PCIe,and SRIO interfaces.And they are mainly responsible for the high-speed data communication between the FPGA and the DSP.This paper firstly designs the real-time target tracking system as a whole,and divides the entire target tracking system into three phases.The first phase mainly completes the design of the system hardware platform,from device selection to schematic,PCB design;the second stage mainly completes the hardware Platform's system clock,power debugging,and debugging of various peripheral devices;the third phase mainly completes the debugging and testing performance of the high-speed communication interface between FPGA and DSP;the fourth phase mainly completes the development of real-time image processing algorithms.In the real-time object tracking hardware system debugging phase of this article,the author completed the following tasks:(1)The FPGA controls the clock,power supply,and DSP of the entire real-time target tracking system.(2)High-speed communication interfaces between FPGA and DSP communicate with each other;(3)Real-time implementation of Laplacian image fusion algorithm for real-time target tracking system.
