In the field of video image detection,normal CMOS camera has Small volume,light quality and is suitable working in the daytime.During the night,we usually use ICCD to get the images.But it is too big and because of the MCP construction,it'll be burned if it is working in the daytime.Low-light level CMOS can work day and night and it is easy to take away.This paper base on CIS0431 low-light level CMOS camera and PIC0384 Infrared Focus Plane Array researching parts of electronic component the image fusion system,and research the image fusion algorithm between low-light level CMOS image and infrared image based on FPGA system.Firstly,This paper is on the basis of the existing infrared image processing system with FPGA as the core processing chip in our research group,improve and design the low-light level CMOS and uncooled infrared image fusion system hardware platform,and debug the hardware system.Secondly,the research and accomplish low-light level CMOS and uncooled infrared image preprocessing and dual image registration.The low-light level CMOS image preprocessing mainly eliminate gaussian noise when the illuminance is 10-3lux while the infrared image preprocessing include nonuniformity correction and gray histogram to enhance image contrast.Thirdly,research the Laplacian pyramid image fusion algorithm,and achieve the improved Laplacian pyramid image fusion algorithm.Imaging by the system.Finally,experiment and evaluate the system imaging effect in the laboratory,system is given priority to with low-light level CMOS image during the day when the intensity of illuminance is enough.The low-light level CMOS and infrared image proceed fusion when the illuminance is between 10-3lux and 1lux.When the illuminance is under 10-3lux,the low-light level CMOS camera cannot clear image at this time and set uncooled infrared image as the system input source.At the same time,the proposed algorithm compared with weighting average fusion algorithm and make objective evaluation,the experimental results show that the low-light level CMOS and uncooled infrared image fusion system designed by this paper can real-time fusion and the effect is better.
