The applied foundation of Multi-Temporal Remote Sensing Technology is that different remote objects performing the thermal radiation brightness temperature differences over time. Print Circuit Board (PCB) has the status that it over time represents the thermal radiation brightness temperature differences.Thereby, the PCB fault diagnosis using Multi-Temporal Remote Sensing Technology is the expansion of the remote sensing technology in the field of industrial detection.There are many shortages in the traditional technique because it is invasive. The technology of IR and thermal image can be used in detecting the fault of electronics in virtue of the high capability of thermal instruments and digital image processing.The research about the non-invasive inspection of PCB based on IR image is introduced. The principle of Infrared thermal image detecting, the components of hardware and software are introduced in this paper. Some key technical problems and the project of software are presented in detail: Graphics of User Interface (GUI) of the software, Gray image to Pseudo-color image Transformation, filter processing of image, the position of hidden trouble PCB through difference image processing, the registration and fusion of infrared thermal image and visible light image.The first chapter gives the historic background, development, and current situation of the IR test and thermal image processing. Also gives the application and character of the infrared thermal imaging test. The second chapter gives the principle of the IR test and the basic knowledge of image processing. In the third chapter, the system of IR test of PCBs, hardware and software are analyzed. At the same time, we also give the reason why we choose and use the VC++6.0 to develop the system. Hardware is composed of four elements: computer, IR thermal instrument, PCB, and power supply, In the fourth chapter, the executive process of software and the realization of image process function are introduced, In addition, we introduced the registration and fusion of infrared thermal image and visible light image. A perfect GUI is programmed in VC++6.0.The function class of image processing is defined to realize some basic functions. Gray image can be transformed to Pseudo-color image based on the corresponding relationship of gray scale and RGB colors. In term of difference image processing, the fault position of PCBs can be located.
