A Mobile Ad hoc network(MANET)does not need fixed network infrastructures,and features distributed control,support of fast mode movement and strong anti-destruction ability.Consequently,MANET has important application value in the field of emergency rescue and tactical communication.In MANET,MAC protocol is the key factor to improve network performance.Because TDMA protocols have no conflict and high throughput,it becomes the key technology of high performance MANET.Most of the traditional TDMA protocols are based on time division duplex,which means that the transmitter and receiver of the node can-not work at the same time,and greatly limits the performance of the network.With the emergence of Co-time Co-frequency Full Duplex(CCFD)technology,it is possible to improve the performance of TDMA protocol in a MANET.Based on the research results of the project group,this thesis designs and develops a distributed TDMA protocol software,which can work on the hardware platform with the capability of CCFD,and become the basis of building a new type of ad hoc network communication equipment.Modular programming is adopted to this software,which including the following 6 modules: network layer interface module,queue scheduling module,MAC protocol processing module,secondary link scheduling module,uplink data receiving and processing module,downlink data sending and processing module.The main technical problems in software development are sub-time slot partition,secondary link scheduling and interfaces with the simulation platform.The problem of dividing the mini time slot is solved by using the timer module.The secondary link scheduling problem is solved by state machine programming.The problem of scheduling a secondary link for the primary link in a short period of time when each time slot begins is solved by docking with the interface of the MANET test platform.Due to the high cost of hardware testing and long test period,it is necessary to verify the correctness of the protocol software and the performance of the protocol itself before it is formally applied to hardware equipment,so the scheme of software testing on the simulation platform is adopted.The software is added to the mobile Ad hoc network simulation test platform,and the function and performance metrics of FD-TDMA MAC protocol are tested.It includes correctness test,throughput test,comparison test with half-duplex TDMA MAC protocol and traditional full-duplex MAC protocol.This method ensures the accuracy and reliability of the test results.The test results show that the FD-TDMA MAC protocol software can realize the function of this protocol and verify the feasibility of the protocol.Compared with the traditional MAC protocol,this Protocol can dispatch a secondary link,which has a great improvement on the network performance metrics.
