Compared with the first-generation digital video broadcasting standard(DVB-S),the secondgeneration digital video broadcasting standard(DVB-S2)has higher transmission efficiency,more flexible configuration modes,and more abundant service support types.which has attracted much attention since its introduction.However,with the development of the times,the demand for high definition video and video services is increasing,and the pursuit of extreme audio-visual experience will be the trend of future development,which puts forward new requirements for the transmission capabilities of the DVB-S2 system.As we all know,increasing the transmission bandwidth is the most direct way to improve the transmission capacity of the system.Nowadays,the spectrum resources are becoming more and more tense.The bandwidth resources of DVB-S2 system are very limited.The Faster-ThanNyquist(FTN)transmission theory provides a new feasible scheme to improve the system spectrum efficiency(SE)and save the spectrum resources.This paper mainly studies the transmission technology of DVB-S2 system,focuses on the channel equalization technology in the receiver,and implements it based on FPGA.Meanwhile,the DVB-S2 system based on FTN transmission technology is studied,and the performance of the system is verified by numerical simulation.The main contents are summarized as follows:1.A receiver structure based on the decision feedback equalization technique is proposed for the DVB-S2 transmission system.This structure has a low realization complexity while guaranteeing the reliability.Secondly,aiming at the fast time-varying channel in the actual environment,a variable-step DLMS algorithm based on Gaussian right-tail function is proposed,which can speed up the convergence speed of the equalizer and reduce the calculation delay,which is more conducive to engineering implementation.At the same time,based on the FPGA verification platform,the hardware implementation of the channel equalization module in the prototype of the DVB-S2 system receiver using Verilog HDL is implemented.By adopting the parallel pipeline structure,it can achieve high throughput in practical applications.2.In order to further improve the spectrum utilization of DVB-S2 system,this paper studies the basic principles and methods of DVB-S2 system based on FTN technology.Considering that the FTN transmission will introduce uncontrollable Inter-Symbol Interference(ISI),this paper conducts in-depth research and analysis of its receiver detection technology,and compares the application effects of traditional and iterative equalization structures in FTN systems through simulation analysis.Finally,simulation results show that FTN technology can significantly improve the spectrum efficiency of DVB-S2 system.
