Investigations On Broadband Slot Antenna Array

Under the condition of modern high-tech war,the broadband characteristic of radar system is beneficial to improve the target resolution and anti-jamming performance.As one of the most important subsystems,the characteristics of antenna directly affect the overall performance of the radar system.The platform integrated with multi systems also puts forward a demand for compact antenna which is easy to conform.As a branch of microstrip antenna,planar slot antenna has been paid much attention and been widely used due to its broadband,low profile and simple manufacture.Aiming at the demand of modern radar system and the advantage of planar slot antenna,the paper studies the broadband and dual-polarization characteristics of planar slot antenna with reflector.First of all,the research background and development status of the slot antenna are summarized in detail,and the chapter arrangement is given.Then,the basic principle of the slot antenna,the FDTD algorithm and the modified genetic annealing algorithm are briefly introduced.For the proposed form of double-layer circular slot antenna fed by strip line,the example combining optimization algorithm and electromagnetic numerical simulation is given and verifies the broadband characteristic of wide slot antenna.Next,two slot antennas with different reflectors are designed and compared.The slot antenna with metal planar reflector is determined as the main configuration of this paper.In order to suppress the cross polarization and improve the pattern deterioration,differential feed is adopted to feed the slot antenna.To improve the port isolation of broadband co-planar dual-polarization slot antenna,a triple-layer slot antenna structure is proposed.Finally,a stereoscopic Balun feed structure is proposed and improves the stability of antenna structure.Antenna array with stereoscopic Balun differential feed is designed.The whole structure and feed network of the designed antenna array are introduced and analyzed.The simulation results and physical verification are given.
